OD is an abbreviation for the Latin term oculus dexter which means right eye. Notice that the right eye information is asked for first even though we typically read from left to right.

OS is an abbreviation of the Latin oculus sinister which means left eye. That will be referenced on the far right column of the prescription.

SPH is short for sphere. The sphere of your prescription indicates the power on the lenses that is needed to see clearly. A plus (+) symbol indicates the eyeglass wearer is farsighted. A minus (-) symbol indicates that the eyeglass wearer is nearsighted.

CYL is short for cylinder. The cylinder indicates the lens power necessary to correct astigmatism. If the column has no value (is blank), it indicates that the eyeglass wearer does not have astigmatism. If this is the case on your prescription, you can leave it blank when entering it in.

AXIS is a prescription will include an axis value for those with astigmatism. This number represents the angle of the lens that shouldn't feature a cylinder power to help correct your astigmatism.

ADD is short for "additional correction." This is where details about bifocals, multifocal lenses or progressive lenses would appear.

B.C. is short for base curve measurement indicates the back curvature of your contact lens, in millimetres. This is important for comfort, as the BC of your contact lenses should match your eye's natural curve as closely as possible to ensure a better fit when you are wearing your contact lenses.

DIA is short for "diameter," or the distance from one edge of the contact lens to the other. This is measured in millimeters.

"Just as good, if not better, than my much higher priced dailies. I've been wearing expensive brands for years. Glad I took the chance."
Marcus

Priya
"High end for value price, ships very fast. My new go-to contacts."

"These contact lenses are so comfortable that you may forget you're wearing them. This is my third purchase of this product, and I have consistently experienced excellent results."
Elena
"The lenses are very comfortable. I like being able to put in a fresh pair whenever I feel like it. At first I was hesitant to try online shopping for contacts. The ordering experience and the lenses themselves were perfect."
Katie
"You really don't feel them in your eyes. I've tried four other brands before and honestly these are the ones I felt the least. They don't dry out your eyes at all. They feel as if you're not wearing anything."
Nadia
"My young athlete loves her new KITS contacts. Affordable, quick delivery and the best customer service ever. She finds them easier to use than brand name contacts she has trialed at the optometrist."
Sunny
"More comfortable than my usual brand name contacts at a fraction of the price. Love these contacts. Perfect for everyday wear."

Q&A
Is it okay to switch contact brands without talking to my optometrist? Collapse Icon

It's important to have a current prescription when ordering contacts and we recommend visiting your optometrist if you notice your prescription has changed. Your optometrist can also be a great resource for lens fitting and care tips, however, many people do find their perfect lenses through trial and error. With our 30-day satisfaction guarantee, you can try KITS risk-free and return them if they're not the perfect fit for you.

Absolutely! KITS Daily contacts are approved by Health Canada, so you can be confident that they meet the highest safety and quality standards.

Silicone hydrogel is a special material that allows more oxygen to reach your eyes than regular hydrogel lenses. This helps keep your eyes healthy, refreshed, and comfortable throughout the day.

KITS Daily contacts are designed for single-use, meaning you get a fresh, clean lens every day. This is super convenient and hygienic, as you don't have to worry about cleaning or storing your lenses. Just pop in a new pair each morning and you're good to go!

Not yet, but stay tuned! We're always working on expanding our product line to meet the needs of all our customers.

While we don't have trial packs available, we do offer a 30-day risk-free trial on all our contact lenses. If you're not completely happy with your KITS Daily contacts, simply return them and we'll help you find a better option. Your eye health and comfort are our top priorities!

We recommend you have an updated contacts prescription but you do not need a specific prescription for KITS Daily contacts.
